Easter Sunday

Love That Will Not Let Us Go
Scripture: John 20:1–18

Resurrection is not the undoing of the cross; it is God’s refusal to abandon us to death. The risen Jesus still bears wounds, reminding us that love carries history into healing.
All of God’s love languages converge here. Love speaks, serves, gathers, gives, stays…and rises. Easter declares that love is stronger than fear, stronger than empire, stronger than death.

Practice: Ask yourself: Where do I see signs of new life right now…even small ones?

Prayer: God of resurrection, help me trust that love is still at work. Amen.

Reflection:

A Closing Blessing for the Lenten Journey
As this season comes to a close,
may you rest in the truth that you were never walking alone.
May the God who spoke in the wilderness
still your racing thoughts and help you hear the voice that calls you beloved.
May the words that named you find a home in you,
stronger than fear, louder than shame.
May the love that bent low in service
continue to shape your hands and your heart,
and may the community that carried you
remind you that your faith was never meant to be lived alone.
When you return to the rhythms of ordinary days,
may the practices you received as gifts
create space for grace, not pressure,
and teach you how to stay with God
even when the path feels uncertain.
And when you encounter suffering…your own or the world’s…
may you remember the cross
and trust that God knows this place from the inside.
May the hope of resurrection meet you gently,
not rushing your grief,
but promising that love is still at work,
still rising,
still holding all things together.

Carry this love with you.
And trust that it will not let you go.

Amen.
